Survey-led remediation
Use the compartmentation information and identified defects to define locations, access requirements and priorities. Where the actual construction differs from the assumed detail, agree the next step before proceeding.

TECHNICAL UNDERSTANDING. PRACTICAL DELIVERY.
Firestopping helps maintain the intended separation between compartments where services and construction interfaces interrupt walls and floors. Conex installs tested fire-resistant materials to service penetrations, joints, voids and gaps, with a focus on selecting the appropriate detail for the actual construction.
Service openings and junctions vary from one location to another. The wall or floor construction, service type, opening dimensions and required performance all affect the detail to be used. A productive firestopping package begins with these conditions being understood, not simply with a product being selected.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The final scope is agreed against your specification, existing conditions and programme.
Use the compartmentation information and identified defects to define locations, access requirements and priorities. Where the actual construction differs from the assumed detail, agree the next step before proceeding.
Coordinate the treatment of pipes, cables and other service openings with the specified system detail. The installation needs to account for the substrate, the service configuration and the dimensions of the opening.
Review linear gaps and construction junctions as part of the wider compartmentation package. Access and sequencing should allow the completed treatment to be inspected before it is concealed.
QUALITY & COORDINATION
The substrate, opening, services and required performance are reviewed against the specified system before work proceeds. Our quality process records the installation and the materials used, helping the client retain a clear account of the completed works.
Firestopping is coordinated with mechanical and electrical services, drylining, structural openings and access panels. Later service changes can affect completed treatments, so responsibilities for subsequent alterations should be clear.
PROJECT CHECKPOINTS
INFORMATION AT HANDOVER
Conex uses Onetrace to record fire-door survey and firestopping information, including materials, inspection evidence and approvals. This supports a transparent quality process and helps retain the relationship between the work and its records.
Our existing firestopping service includes inspection evidence, material traceability and reporting. The format and level of detail should be agreed with the client at the outset, so the completed records support both handover and future building management.
PREPARING YOUR PROJECT BRIEF
Share the information you have, including your site location and target dates. We can discuss the proposed works and identify the details needed to establish a clear package.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Share the survey and compartmentation drawings. We can discuss the identified scope, review access and clarify the information needed for the proposed systems.
The appropriate treatment depends on the construction and service configuration. Product selection must follow the relevant specified detail and supporting information.
Location references and material information form part of the service. Any additional reporting or client platform requirements should be agreed before works begin.
FIRESTOPPING PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Firestopping works at service penetrations and compartment junctions, including cable and pipe seals, duct interfaces, wall-head details and pipe collars.
